Forces that Influenced the Development of the Clinic
The government has a role to provide healthcare to its employees and citizens. However, due to the set rules and regulations, they can only provide as much. and this arrangement does not usually cover those citizens that are not under such set policies (Crooks & Andrews, 2009). Employees that work for private firms are at the mercy of their employers for any health insurance arrangement with the government not monitoring to check whether these firms actually provide the required insurance (Singh & Shi, 2012). Most of these employees are underinsured meaning that they cannot access proper healthcare when the time comes, they are vulnerable to the thought of forgoing on healthcare services. Therefore, in order to ensure that this practice is minimized if not terminated, Primary Healthcare Clinic was developed to care for the less abled and those who cannot afford to have private health insurance arrangements.
