Hotel General Manager

Duties & Responsibilities: This is a customer focused position that requires daily demonstration of customer service and the leadership of the hotel team in the care of our guests. The General Manager is responsible for the management of the hotel to achieve the company’s quality, service, and revenue objectives. Integrates and markets property’s product and services within the community in which it is located. Selects, supervises and trains team members to ensure all quality standards are attainable and met.
Supervises, coordinates and implements all aspects of the hotel’s operations including but not limited to customer service, maintenance, food & beverage, housekeeping, human resources, and accounting, and other areas as assigned.
Prepares annual budgets in conjunction with the Operations Manager for all departments each year. Reviews monthly budget to actual to ensure that all supervisors operate within their approved budget.
Monitors and maintains compliance with all corporate established financial procedures which includes: purchase orders, approves all expenditures, and utilizes all approved vendors for purchase purposes.
Works with department managers in hiring, training, scheduling, staff.
Recommend necessary actions regarding employees to the Regional Manager when concerns need to be addressed.
Qualifications: At least two years’ experience hotel and food and beverage management. Proficient in computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other software as necessary. Demonstrated knowledge in a broad range of fields including hotel and food service operations, financial, marketing, employee and guest relations, maintenance, arcade, gift shop, and housekeeping standards.
Required Education: Degree in Hotel Management or related field preferred.
