Abstract
The partition coefficient of a metal Kd (L/kg) is the ratio of the sorbed concentration of the metal in the solid state (mg/kg) to the concentration of the dissolved metal at equilibrium. The main objective of this chemistry practical is to investigate the partitioning of Lead and Zinc metals under different conditions of organic matter content, pH, and salinity. To achieve this objective, I will undertake several practical. Both metals were tested at various conditions of organic matter content, pH, and salinity. The design of the study experiments was generated by MiniTab16® statistical software program. Randomized run orders were created by software.
