Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcom X played a significant role in shaping the American black culture. They both seemingly preached opposing futures for the social and political justice of the blacks in the United States. Martin lobbied for nonviolent resistance while Malcolm insisted on the use of any available means. The two stands were juxtapose by the society as Martin was often misinterpreted as one who made the black people fearful of their oppressive majority whites society.
