Theory:

The object of this lab is to verify the conservation of mechanical energy.

We begin our lab by measuring the masses of the pendulum and the ball. Then, we fire a ball as a test so we know where it lands to put the cardboard and a paper on it so it will leave a mark. Next, we measure the initial height of the project mass above the ground. After that, we fire 5 shots and measure the distance for each shot. We compute the and the . Then, we use our fingers to determine the center of the pendulum and then we put a mark on it so we know its height. More over, we fire the ball 5 shots again.
