In Cold Blood and Failure of Correctional Centers
In Cold Blood is a film based on the book written by Truman Capote that has the same name. The film stars Robert Black as Perry Smith and Scott Wilson acts as Richard Dick. In the film, Smith and Dick attacks into a family known as Cutter, which resides in Kansas, and kills everyone who was at home that moment (Capote 6). The two are ex-convicts who receive some information from their fellow inmates about the farming family who keeps money in a safe in their house; they had knowledge about some cash that Mr. Cutter keeps in a safe in the house. Unfortunately, even after all the killing, they did not find the money. Mr. Cutter uses check for his transactions and does not walk with a lot of money as the criminals thought. Their intention of killing everybody was an attempt at doing away with any evidence behind which could have been used to trace them (Capote 19).
