Ideas” in the Communication: Principles for a Lifetime e-text (pp.
285-287, pp. 291-292).
Determine a topic and research question. Your topic should be
research-driven; not an opinion piece. The topic can be either
informative or persuasive. Iit is required that you have 3-5 credible
sources to support your position.
Articulate a thesis statement. The thesis should concisely state

Hepatitis is the inflammation of the liver. Specifically, Hepatitis B is the swelling of the liver that is caused by a virus. It is transmitted through body fluids such as vaginal fluids and semen. It is possible for the body to protect an individual from Hepatitis B. Healthy individuals are able to fight Hepatitis B even without treatment. However, pregnant women are at high risk of contracting the virus and especially the women who come from high risk groups such as women from ethnic communities and healthcare workers. According to a research conducted in the UK, Hepatitis B occurred often to pregnant women who are Pakistan, Chinese and Black African. It is essential that pregnant women get tested for the virus because it can be passed to the new-born during birth. Medical practitioners consider the number of questions when managing Hepatitis B in Pregnancy. The research suggests that it is important to manage chronic and acute Hepatitis B in pregnant women because of preventing prenatal and the vertical transmission (Riley, 2006).
