Goodman vs. Evil
Young Goodman Brown, a short story by Nathaniel Hawthorne, explores the nature of mankind. Goodman Brown, the main character in the story, leaves his wife Faith and sets off on a journey into the forest. The exact purpose of his journey is not disclosed, but it seems to be a psychological quest for him. In the forest his faith and views of the world he lives in are changed by his observance of the loss of innocence. The loss of innocence can be seen in Goodman Brown, but especially in Faith, his wife. Although Faith is not the main focus of the story, she seems to have the most influence on how Goodman sees the world.
