This essay is a personal response paper rather than a research paper—therefore, you are not required to do secondary research; moreover, you may write in first person and use personal experience or knowledge where appropriate to support your argument.
You must include at least two brief quotations (maximum one full sentence each) from your chosen article in each body paragraph.

Spending habits are influenced by many factors. In most cases, young people have an unwavering desire to buy new things and may end up saving nothing in their lives; some may even not have bank accounts in the first place. The baby boomers, generation X, and generation Y all have different spending habits and tendencies. The article discusses the spending habits categorized by generations. The major assumption is that people in a certain generational cocoon have similar spending habits that are different from others. This paper responds to the article by drawing from personal experiences and case studies in my life that deflect from my anticipated spending habits going by my generational categorization.
