In the US. It is illegal to unreasonably discriminate people in employment based on their sex (Barth and Dale-Olsen). The Equal pay Act that was framed in the year 1963, (EPA), was designed to protect men and women who performed substantially equal work in the same establishment from wage discrimination based on sex. In the lawsuits that allege discrimination at a particular firm, data ta analysis is believed to be a good way of examining the average wages of men versus women at that firm.
