The purpose of this assignment is to integrate the theory and concepts with "real world" examples. These short papers will be shared in class so that others may learn and benefit from this integration. Each paper should be at least 2 to 3 double-spaced pages and written in APA format using the APA referencing methodology. Organizational citizenship is an ethical concept described in great details by Johnson. Johnson (2012) argues that organizational citizenship is a set of behaviors that are not rewarded, but when combined with an organization culture, result in an increased productivity among the employees. Initially, it was believed that companies owed their allegiance to the owners who in most cases were the shareholders. However, the world has changed so much and the companies could no longer owe their loyalty to their owners alone. Furthermore, most Americans believe that all organizations have a role to play in International, national and local communities (Mann, 2007).
