“Do the Right Thing”
Remonstration, demonstration, or protest, is the act of expressing witness on the behalf of a direct or an express cause by actions or words based on particular situations, events, or policies. Protests may take the form of individual statements and mass action and demonstrations. People involved in a protest action may boycott products or services or may even go to an extent of causing violence. The theme of protest is evident in many scenes of the film, ‘Do the Right Thing.’ Sal, the Italian-American pizzeria owner, has placed pictures of Italian-Americans on the walls of his pizzeria to promote his Italian-American culture and origin.
