With Child Development as my area of specialization, coming up with strategic ways of becoming successful in the field is necessary. Currently, the world is facing major social as well as economic problems such as teenage pregnancy, crime, high school dropout rates, obesity, and many other health conditions. It is not a surprise that most of the causes of these problems can being faced by our children and youth can be traced back to low levels of childhood development skill and ability in the society. In coming up with strategic ways of delivering state-of-the-art childhood development teachings and services, there are various tools that I intend to be using. An example is in promoting and gauging cognitive ability through IQ and achievement testing. Ensuring to not leave any child behind in the development process is a chief strategy that I intend to utilize. Promotion of cognitive abilities in children greatly contributes to their positive performance in society and also helps in determining scores on the tests used in monitoring their cognitive achievement.
