Blade Runner Movie
The movie represents a historical drama where the producers try to express the socio-political problems in the society. The story has some concerns, issues, counterpoint, thematic conflict, problem, and a solution. The problem is that both Deckard and Bryant are focused on capturing the rogue replicants. The main concern of Gaff is promotion whereas the replicants are in need of promotion. The main issue for Deckard is to realize selfish interests, something that forces him to come out retirement.
The status of a cop is critical to his survival since he would be nothing without it. For Gaff, he has to achieve his selfish interests through Deckard. On her part, Rachel tries to believe in her old memories even after going through too much in life. The thematic conflict is between self-interest and morality. Tyrell claims to be a generous person to an extent of giving out the memory, but the reality is he is selfish and he aspires to achieve the selfish interests. The problem is the society is control of the lives of members.
In this particular movie, the conflict is between Deckard and the off world replicants. The producers of the film managed to bring out critical issues using the conflict since it provides a narrative movement, as well as philosophical and symbolic stimulation. The movie is interesting to watch implying it engages one’s mental and visual appetite. The conflict keeps the story moving. There would be a possibility that Deckard was himself a replicant yet he is given the special responsibility of hunting them down.
