Abstract And Outline (Strategic Technology Plan For Flipped Classrooms And Screencasting)
Length: 2 pages (550 Words)
The purpose of the strategic technology plan is to avail courses of action against specified timelines and resources to integrate flipped learning approach with the traditional learning methods. The drive for flipped learning is to encourage student based learning approach, where teachers shift direct learning from the classroom atmosphereto individual learning space or small groups with the assistance of one or more technologies (Ruffini, 2016). The methods of technology integration into the classroom commences with both the student and the teacher recognizing the need for change that must happen within the teachers and their approaches towards teaching.
The following steps will be aligning the resources, preparing the institution, defining subject culture, forming attitudes and beliefs, imparting knowledge and skills, and lastly assessment. The method cuts across different learning curriculums, though barriers such as lack of shared vision, technology integration plan, as well as scarcity of resources may plague the integration module. The scope of the plan is to roll-out the programs to pioneer group first, who are likely to be the seventh graders as most of them will be preparing for junior high school. Successful implementation of the pioneering program will see the implementers roll-out the program to other grades within two – three years.
